Job Description

As our Acquisitions Associate/Analyst, you will be an integral part of the acquisition process and report directly to the Managing Director of Acquisitions and the Firm’s Partners. The role is designed to evoke an entrepreneurial mindset in an institutional environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Managing Director of Acquisitions in the preparation of detailed valuations and analyses for potential multifamily acquisitions.
  • Create and prepare financial models for potential acquisition targets utilizing Excel.
  • Gather, compile, investigate, and analyze market data to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Prepare investment summaries and market analyses that provide insights on proposed acquisitions.
  • Gain intimate knowledge of target markets to capitalize on investment opportunities.
  • Populate and maintain the Deal Pipeline as investment opportunities arise.
  • Prepare detailed materials to substantiate investment decisions and dictate business plans to be presented to the Firm’s equity partnerships.
  • Assist in preparing reports to the Company’s ownership and investment partners.
  • Conduct due diligence activities involving lease analysis and shopping market competitors.
  • Arrange third-party reports such as market studies and property tax analysis.
  • Manage ongoing communications related to proposed investment transactions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with target market brokers, equity partners, lenders, and other real estate professionals.
  • Travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, real estate, or a related field required.
  • 2-3 years of related work experience required. Experience in real estate, investments, acquisitions, banking, or sales support is highly desired.
  • Fluency in and ability to create and maintain Excel financial models and spreadsheets is essential.
  • Knowledge of financial/real estate terms and principles. Ability to conduct and understand basic/intermediate financial analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, organize, and interpret documents. Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills are required.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to write reports and effectively present information.
