Base Annual Compensation: Analyst: $90k-$100k - Sr. Analyst: $110k-$125k (depending on experience)

Summary 

Ballast Investments (“Ballast” or “The Company”) is seeking an Investment Analyst or Senior Investment Analyst to support the Investments vertical. Under the general supervision of the Investments team, the Analyst / Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting the team leader with reporting and platform management for DealCloud, which supports the firm in fundraising, transactions, and compliance for current and future investments and investors. This individual will work with the dynamic Investments team and will collaborate cross departmentally with Systems and Finance. The Analyst / Sr. Analyst will ensure and lead accurate system reporting and data analysis, platform troubleshooting and correspondence, effective team collaboration, and analyzing and understanding the system data to utilize for key stakeholder reporting. This position requires outstanding analytical and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support investments team to help manage and optimize relationships, create deal flow reports, workflows, and data
  • Track active and pipeline investments and potential and current investor relationships
  • Prepare and present updates and reports to Investments Team including DealCloud data
  • Collaborate cross-divisionally with asset management, operations, and investor relations assisting with quarterly and annual investor reporting and communication
  • Assist with investor communication through engagement-centric Microsoft Outlook, Teams and SharePoint workspaces
  • Lead technical user and internal team platform training and assist investment team with questions about the DealCloud platform
  • Be the main point of contact with the DealCloud account manager and liaison internally to solve issues, and execute features and functions
  • Develop effective processes for marketing, tracking, and follow-up  
  • Work within Microsoft Excel to map, collate, and normalize disparate data sets for import into DealCloud

 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science (preferred concentrations: Finance, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Economics, or related field)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in using DealCloud platform required  
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience and working knowledge of Yardi is a plus
