Job Description

Columbia Property Trust is currently seeking a Senior Analyst for our San Francisco office. The position is responsible for driving value through the generation and implementation of asset strategies for an assigned portfolio of office assets in the Western US.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with regional VP and SVP to drive asset level strategies; assist in directing property level team.
  • Perform discounted cash flow analysis and model prospective lease transactions and asset strategy scenarios.
  • Support the acquisition process by performing valuation analysis and assisting in due diligence and Investment Committee presentations.
  • Review property budgets, monthly/quarterly financial and operational performance, and annual capital plans and interface with property accounting teams.
  •  Research and monitor local market conditions, anticipate trends and reposition the property accordingly.
  • Regularly update internal DCF models for executed lease activity and changes in market assumptions.
  • Evaluate and communicate asset by asset investment strategies.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree - Real Estate concentration desirable.
  • Prefer 2+ years financial analysis experience in commercial real estate (NPV, IRR, lease comparison, ROI, DCF modeling, payback, analyze financial statements, etc.)
  • Knowledge of major US Western Real Estate market valuable
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Argus
  • Periodic travel required over the Western United States

Physical Demands: The worker is sitting most of the time but will often include tasks involving light work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.  The worker is constantly typing into a computer, and occasionally other office productivity machinery (such as a copy machine and computer printer).  The worker needs to move about inside the physical office, as well as around the property grounds, to interact and assist tenants.
