Acquisitions & Development Associate

Primary Responsibilities

The Acquisitions and Development Associate will work closely with our land acquisition and project management teams on the acquisition of new properties and the management of acquired assets for new multifamily and for-sale residential communities.  This diverse role will include the following responsibilities:

• Conduct market analysis and financial modeling for prospective land purchases that meet the divisions business plan goals

• Work closely with VP Land Acquisitions and Division President to source, analyze, and close land transactions

• Coordinate with multiple internal departments to assemble budgets, development timelines, and price positioning for prospective acquisitions and existing projects

• Participate in city meetings and coordinate with third party consultants to assess development feasibility for prospective land purchases

• Assist project management teams on forward planning and land entitlement activities

• Prepare reports and presentations to the executive team and investment committee on current development projects and prospective acquisition opportunities

• Network and formulate relationships with real estate brokers, landowners, and city officials to promote the Intracorp brand in Southern California and generate new opportunities for the company

Skills/Experience

• 2-3+ year background in the real estate industry and a strong understanding of financial analysis, market research, and local knowledge of Southern California submarkets

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel

• Ability to work with different department leads and multitask on several different assignments at one time

• Strong desire to gain expertise in land acquisition, forward planning, and land entitlements

• BS Degree required
