Job Title: Asset Manager
Business Unit: Credit & Asset Manager

Reports to: Team Leader

 

Overview:  The Asset Manager will be primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of complex debt and equity investments in both ground-up developments and transitional / value-add operating properties spanning a variety of property types including multifamily, office, retail, condominium, and industrial. This is a client-facing position involving real-time assessment of risk profiles of real estate loans and equity investments, coordination and monitoring of interest billing and collection, oversight of the construction draw administration workflow and client reporting. Services are provided in partnership with the client’s own activities. Construction lending and/or development experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing performance of the assets relative to original underwriting strategies or business plans, competitors, and market conditions
  • Reviewing and approving monthly or quarterly reporting
  • Interacting with third party consultants including attorneys, title agents, brokers and sales agents, and construction consultants
  • Reviewing and approving draw requests
  • Reviewing and approving major leases
  • Coordinating asset servicing and reporting responsibilities with internal departments to ensure proper tracking and timely and accurate reporting
  • Creating and updating valuation and performance models
  • Occasional site visits required

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant Asset Management experience
  • An understanding of commercial real estate transactions and industry terms
  • Solid analytical skill
  • Solid understanding of Real Estate Capital Markets
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Argus and Outlook

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Heavy Financial Modeling Experience/Valuation Experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • A strong mathematical aptitude
  • Argus experience
  • Construction lending and/or development experience
