Job Description

Streamline, a rapidly growing company of 70+ employees, is an urban infill residential developer of new homes and rental properties.  The Company is strategically expanding into new markets and is seeking an experienced and motivated CFO to contribute to its growth.  

 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and review annual and monthly budgets for both P&L and cashflow.  Provide analysis of variances to budget
 
Prepare monthly financial statements for review by CEO
Prepare monthly reporting for all JV partners and investors
Compare performance against industry averages, identify areas for improvement
Supervise Controller and accounting staff
Work with the Controller on various reconciliations and reporting
Work with the VP of Capital Markets on securing funding for cashflow needs (bank debt, equity, lines of credit)
Provide support to Leadership team for their expansion plans
Review current SOP’s and create new SOP’s to maintain the company’s efficiency
Oversee Human Resources department
 
 
Accounting:
 
Prepare/review/maintain account analysis on all relevant general ledger account balances
Close books monthly, prepare necessary j/e’s and adjustments monthly, and for year end
Ensure accruals are maintained for appropriate costs, including potential claims that could occur after closing
Work with third party accountant to prepare required tax returns, reviews/audits, and any other required statements
 
 
Debt/Equity:
 
Oversee treasury department
Maintain and build relationships with existing and new banks
Ensure that construction drawdowns are maximized
Ensure that debt paydowns occur as required
Assist in analysis for future equity and debt funding
 
 
Other:
 
Maintain payroll
Prepare and process bonus payroll as required
Ensure that existing financial internal controls are adhered to, identify weakness, propose new or enhanced controls to improve performance
Ensure that we are utilizing all relevant functions of all information systems
 
 
Required Qualifications of candidate (specific skills, education, years of experience, certifications, etc.):
 
BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
10+ years Residential Construction Controller/Accounting experience
CFO experience preferred
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements and projections
Knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets and profitability analysis
CPA license preferred
Knowledge of IHMS homebuilding software is a plus
