The Program Manager is a Real Estate generalist that advises clients on various aspects of corporate real estate delivery. The Program Manager works in conjunction with a Strategic Portfolio Manager to focus on a specific business line within the bank. A trusted advisor that owns real estate execution from concept to occupancy which enables our clients to focus on alignment between business objectives and real estate solutions. This individual identifies key priorities for each project and works to align organizational stakeholders with the project objectives. Program Managers lead a diverse project delivery team to ensure quality, speed, predictability and business-enabling real estate outcomes. Works with external real estate service providers to deliver transactions, design, project management, and construction.
Functional Responsibilities:
• Program Execution:
* Effectively lead the project delivery team by clearly communicating expectations, accountabilities and providing performance feedback for continuous improvement throughout project life cycle
* Drive adherence to established CRE processes and standards
* Manage approval process for all projects assigned
* Escalate Risks on projects throughout life cycle of projects
* Effectively lead team to deliver projects “on time” and “within budget”
• Executive Reporting:
* Maintain and update an executive level dashboard and concise project presentations on project performance throughout assigned portfolio
• Portfolio Management:
* Actively manage a project pipeline for the assigned business portfolio, ensuring timely initiations and achievement of milestones
* Provide proactive and strategic opportunities to eliminate excess space throughout portfolio footprint
• Capital Planning:
* Effectively lead capital yearly forecast and project financial model/approval process for given portfolio
* Identify opportunities and risks to ensure precision in delivery within defined target established Program Platform
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Five or more years of managerial experience
- Master’s Degree preferred – Real Estate Development, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science and/or Finance
- Six Sigma experience, training and/or certification
- Corporate Real Estate, Transaction Management, or Project Management preferred
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, relationship building and management skills
- Strong understanding of real estate delivery process from requirement definition, to lease negotiations, to build out, to occupancy
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to take complex analyses, summarize at an executive level and make a sound recommendation
- Proficiency in applying financial principles to drive disciplined fact-based decisions
- Proven ability to lead, manage and prioritize a large volume of key projects
- Presentation skills, Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a dynamic and matrix-oriented environment
- Organizational and time management skills
