POSITION
Redwood is currently seeking to hire an Acquisitions Analyst to assist the acquisitions team in underwriting, analyzing, researching, and closing the firm’s investment transactions. The analyst will also support the firm’s other transaction-related assignments and the asset management team as needed. This person should possess a strong work ethic with a major focus on attention to detail.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain, monitor and update the acquisition team deal pipeline
• Perform extensive financial modeling of potential acquisition opportunities, including historical financial analysis, sensitivity analyses, evaluation of multiple financing structures, and discounted cash flow analysis
• Conduct hold/sell/refinance scenario analyses on current portfolio
• Conduct various joint venture partnership analyses and waterfall calculations on existing and new investment opportunities
• Analyze and monitor property and portfolio level financial performance
• Assist with the research and analysis of historical revenue and expense information
• Compile and research rent and sale comparable properties
• Prepare detailed presentations and written investment committee memorandums
• Coordinate and assist with property and loan closings, including physical inspections, review of survey, title, environmental and other third-party diligence reports
• Assist on other projects as needed (e.g., asset management, investor relations, property management, budgets, capital improvement plans, construction management, etc.)


REQUIREMENTS
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Extremely detailed oriented
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Superior writing, verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional quantitative modeling and analytical skills
• Experience in the multifamily sector is preferred (not required)

The candidate should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, accounting, or related field and have 1-3 years of related experience (real estate, investment banking, and/or private equity).
