Your Future Team
The Analyst will be assigned to various areas of the business working on a variety of projects and transactions focused on the Student Housing and Senior Housing asset types nationally.

This person will work directly for the Managing Director and Vice President of the team responsible for all new deals. This position will allow for opportunities to present and interact with AIG Global Real Estate’s Investment Committee. The team is responsible for all the US investments in the student and senior housing space, so the Analyst will get exposure to markets from coast to coast. The person in this position will be a key member of this team in both of these recession resistant asset classes.
Your Contribution
- The Analyst will support the senior staff on the following responsibilities but not limited to:
- Underwriting of potential new or value-add student housing and senior housing investments
- Financial underwriting and pro-forma modeling with Excel
- Facilitation of the due diligence process including managing documentation, site visits and investment closing process
- Perform in-depth economic and demographic research for identified new acquisitions and target markets
- Preparation of written investment committee memorandums in relation to proposed transactions
What we are looking for
- One to three years of work experience in finance or investment. Real estate work experience is strongly preferred;
- Student Housing and / or Senior Housing experience preferred but not required;
- Basic understanding of all aspects of property investment, development and financing processes, including but not limited to market analysis, financial analysis including property valuation, capital markets, project budgeting and scheduling;
- Strong financial analysis and Advanced MS Excel modeling skills required;
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Argus is preferred;
- Works independently and self-motivated;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and abilities; demonstrating confidence in building and effectively maintaining positive relationships with clients, partners, developers and co-workers;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, highly productive and efficient.
