European real estate asset and portfolio manager

 

Based in Luxembourg (This Position Offers Relocation Assistance)
Candidate must have the right to work in Europe

We are looking to hire a portfolio and asset manager. This individual will work with the European based Investment team and the portfolio and asset management team based in NY in all aspects of managing several closed ended funds comprised of office, retail, multifamily, student housing, industrial assets across the Continental Europe region.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recommending and implementing strategy on all aspects of the Fund investment portfolio, including: maximizing value, minimizing risk, overseeing leasing, debt, capex, and other property level activities, managing sponsor relationships, monitoring Fund liquidity, and addressing other issues that arise at both the asset and Fund levels.
  • Prepare quarterly investment return projections and valuation models, which include preparing variance analyses and market research (sales comps, leasing activity, rental rates, projected rental growth, etc.).
  • Create/update portfolio presentations for investor meetings and field detailed fund level investment investor inquiries and requests.
  • Develop a working knowledge of leases, loan documents, partnership agreements, and other agreements for general responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of financial waterfall models and analyses, including discounted cash flows, IRR analysis, NPV analysis, etc. for each asset utilizing Microsoft Excel and Argus
  • Oversee all aspects of property dispositions, including coordinating with brokers, analyzing offers, and overseeing the closing process.
  • Update Argus and JV models, leasing statistics and capital expenditure tracking reports
  • Compile, maintain research on markets within portfolio (sales comps, lease comps)
  • Domestic and Euro region area travel to visit assets may be required

 

Qualified candidate must possess:

  • 6-8 years of formal real estate investment or asset management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or related field
  • Understanding of real estate fundamentals, commercial office and retail leases, financing principles, and basic capital structures
  • Expert in Excel and Argus- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail
  • Fluent in German both formal written and speaking skills
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as VTS, iLevel, Real Logic and MRI
  • Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment, highly motivated self-starter with well developed personal and client management skills.
  • Team management and mentoring experience would be a plus

German Preferred but not required

 

Compensation
A compensation package commensurate with experience and will be offered to the successful candidate. Package will include salary, bonus and benefits.

 

Base Comp €170,000  

Bonus €35,000 to €50,000

 

Relocation assistance €10,000 + travel expenses
