Job Description
The purpose of this position is to assist with the successful implementation of the firm's acquisition program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new deal opportunities through networking with brokers and operating partners
- Review and screen acquisitions opportunities
- Underwrite transactions
- Lead the due diligence and transaction closing processes and transition newly acquired assets to the firm's asset management team
- Prepare and present investment committee memos
- Assist in the management and mentorship of team Associates and Analyst
- MBA or graduate of higher level real estate program a plus but not required
- Second European language a plus
- 7+ years experience in real estate acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management or lending (office, industrial, multifamily and general market knowledge a plus)
- Cross cultural work experience a plus
- Underwriting, managing due diligence and closing transactions
- Strong working knowledge of Argus and Excel
- Strong working knowledge of Power Point
- Excellent analytical/financial modeling skills
- Strong knowledge of common JV and financing structures including multi-investor structures and operator promotes
- Spoken and written fluency in English required
- Strong presentation skills both oral and written
- Rigorous, self-motivated team player
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Organized and detailed oriented; ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills
