Job Description
The FBI’s Field Operations Support Section (FOSS) leverages real estate and project management expertise to provide secure, state-of-the-art facilities that meet the mission requirements for the Bureau’s 56 domestic field offices and their associated satellite facilities. FOSS is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Project Manager to work with our Portfolio Management teams, as well as architects, engineers, general contractors, and government officials to design, permit, and manage the construction of our office/flex properties. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution. An advanced degree is desired. Requires at least eight years’ experience of increasing complexity and responsibility in architecture; mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering; or project/construction management. Comprehensive experience with the construction and renovation of a broad range of building types, with a variety of mechanical and electrical systems, and with various construction delivery methods a plus. Requires exceptional problem-solving ability and a demonstrated ability to function as part of a collegial, high-performing team. Must be computer literate and able to analyze and interpret complex construction documents and contracts, and technical and financial reports. Professional licensure as an Engineer or Architect or certification as a Professional Project Manager (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) desired. Some travel is required.
