Main Responsibility Areas

Workplace Design Manager ensures functional, creative and cost-effective workplaces for Nokia businesses and people in designated Market (s), adhering to global property strategy while driving creativity and inspiration through workplace planning and design.

 

Key Tasks

The regional Workplace Design Manager role includes the following tasks:

  • Understand strategies and plans of Nokia business entities to provide cost-effective, local design solutions that meet real estate requirements, global workplace policy, and business needs
  • Drive the collection of workplace data through the implementation of workplace investigations; work with space planners and strategy analysts to understand data implications and reflection in relevant KPIs
  • Ensure solutions provide inspiring environments that drive efficiency and enable employees to be effective and productive
  • Drive the Nokia workplace research strategy within the region and utilize workplace data in delivery of design solutions
  • Develop design partnerships with regional design collaborators and ensure quality delivery through performance management
  • Support innovative design of business premises by coordinating planning and design activities of collaborators, inspiring excellence in design and branding
  • Ensure appropriate corporate governance is implemented to cover architecture, engineering and interior design activities to ensure compliance and performance management
  • Support project delivery process and change management activities with RE colleagues and Design Collaborators to drive workplace implementation in region
  • Maintain an active awareness and understanding of office interiors market trends, local regulations and design initiatives which may influence the development of Nokia RE to remain competitive and achieve “Best in Class” design

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the field of corporate Real Estate or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of managerial experience in an international environment
  • Experience in interior design, space planning, architecture, graphics and engineering solutions
  • Experience in real estate portfolio management, workplace planning and project management
  • Min. university degree (BS/BA/BSc) or equivalent qualification, preferably in interior design or architecture.  Advanced degree preferred (MS/MA/MSc/MBA)
  • Knowledge of real estate, workplace financial and other performance issues and metrics, including productivity measurement
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, offering mentoring, guidance and direction
  • Experience with communication, presentation and negotiation skills at all levels of an organization; fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Anticipates problems and provides solutions that require researching and selecting; develops and implements complex and innovative concepts
