Job Description
MIG Real Estate (“MIG”) is a private real estate investment firm located in Newport Beach, California. MIG owns and operates over $2 billion of real estate investments in multifamily, office, hotel, retail, and industrial properties located in the Western U.S. and sun belt states.
MIG is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve in the role of Financial Analyst. This individual will support the Company’s real estate acquisition, underwriting, asset management and market research efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete financial analysis related to acquisitions, asset management and portfolio management
- Assist with the completion of underwriting, investment committee memorandums and other presentation material
- Support due diligence efforts for new acquisitions
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets and business plans
- Perform market research to support underwriting and reforecast assumptions
- Track target market trends using multiple research sources and complete other research projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES:
- Commercial real estate experience required (coursework and/or internships are acceptable)
- Bachelor’s degree or related course work in Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics or Economics
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel with ability to build financial models and analyze large data sets
- Familiarity with Argus DCF and Argus Enterprise for financial modeling is a plus
- Familiarity with common research providers (CoStar, RCA, Axiometrics, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
- Enthusiastic self-starter willing to take initiative on projects and grow professionally
- Periodic travel to assets and target markets required
- Ability to be flexible with work hours to accommodate demands of transactions, closings, internal presentations and meetings, etc.
