Job Description

Reliant Realty Services, LLC (“Reliant”) is a real estate property management company specializing in affordable housing properties. Reliant is the managing agent for approximately 700 personnel who facilitate operations at the asset level. Reliant currently provides property management, legal, accounting, security, compliance, and maintenance services to approximately 13,000 units across 10 states.

Reliant is currently seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer to work in our New York City office. 

Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Chief Financial Officer will have full responsibility for the Company's finances. He/She is expected to take the company to the next level, creating the vision and charting a financial plan to support continued strong growth. This officer must have the ability to envision and act to build the structure, technical capability, systems, strategy, partnerships and people to drive the Company along its growth path.

Essential Function:

• Direct all aspects of accounting and finance operations, maintaining accounting policies, processes and systems and ensuring internal controls are properly designed and operating effectively
• Develop short and long-term strategic operational and financial plans and drive the implementation of these plans and prepare metrics to measure effectiveness
• Provide monthly financial reporting on operations and key business initiatives
• Lead integration of risk management policies, procedures and processes and advocate organization-wide efforts to protect key assets
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams by establishing key performance indicators while providing mentorship, motivation, direction and on-going feedback
• Lead and direct the financial analysis, commentary, and presentation materials for the CEO and Managing Partners.
• Ensure oversight of compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Advise management, CEO and Ownership the liquidity implications of its short and long range strategic planning decisions
• Directly own and manage the company's financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting functions
• Partner with each operating lead to identify and establish processes to track and provide proactive and insightful reporting on the key performance indicators most impactful in driving the business
• Work cross-functionally on several strategic initiatives, including but not limited to pricing, customer acquisition, partnerships, competitive analysis, and strategy
• Manage vendor relationships, including the negotiation and execution of contracts
• Partner closely with Managing Partners to support business analytics to drive revenue growth

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the accounting team, which consists of 5 managers and 35 indirect reports.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA and CPA is preferred
• 10-15 years of finance experience with a proven record as a strategic advisor who delivers results
• Track record of breaking down and solving complex problems with impeccable business judgment
• Proven ability to produce work with a high degree of accuracy while hitting time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills including experience at C-level communications and support
• Excel and quantitative skills
