We are seeking a Capital Finance Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the Capital Finance team in the debt underwriting, financing and loan management of a wide range of prospective investments and existing multifamily and mixed-use assets, as well as conducting research and working on special projects for senior management.

What you’ll do
- Support the capital finance team in securing debt for new investments and refinancing existing assets
- Participate in all aspects of placing and closing debt capital market transactions. Areas of involvement include:
- preparing finance offering memoranda with accuracy and attention to detail
- reviewing legal documents; managing the due diligence process
- coordinating with internal asset managers, investment officers, development teams and accountants as well as external third parties (e.g. lenders, attorneys and title companies)
- Create and maintain financial models that evaluate interest rate risk, optimal debt structures, refinancing risk, exit strategies and property operations
- Assist in the monitoring and compliance of existing loans, lines of credit and debt investments
- Research and review financial and market information
- Participate in the planning, reporting and communications to investors and lenders
- Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned
- Attend work as scheduled to support the ongoing success of the company
What you’ll bring
- Undergraduate degree required, BA in Business or Finance preferred
- One to two years’ of real estate or finance industry professional experience preferred
- General understanding of financial statements and financial modeling
- Strong Excel skills and financial modeling experience
- Working knowledge of real estate investment; experience in multifamily apartment investment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically about various potential investment outcomes
- Ability to work with multiple departments throughout the company
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment delivering quality work product and measurable results
