THE STUDIO
In addition to guiding the design ethos of the firm, the Studio, comprised of in-house architects and designers, provides planning and design solutions, serving as an important partner to Construction, Development, Leasing and Marketing departments. Studio explores options, evaluates feasibility, develops architectural outcomes, and works with tenants to optimize occupancies.
THE POSITION
The position’s primary focus will provide design leadership within cross-functional teams including Development, Construction, Leasing, and Marketing for a range of new and existing retail and mixed used developments.
• Collaborate with Studio members to develop brand standards and design direction for new and existing properties.
• Create content for Tenant Design Manuals for new and existing properties.
• Review tenants’ interior and exterior fit up documents across the portfolio for design quality commensurate with each development.
• Create test fit plans or conceptual designs for prospective tenants.
• Oversee and advise on designs and renovations field and corporate office renovations
• Lead branding and wayfinding efforts in conjunction with Studio and Marketing.
• Advise on FF&E layouts and selection for public spaces.
• Review and advise on lighting design for architecture and public spaces.
• Provide design direction to external consultants.
• Support and complement Studio architects as required across the portfolio.
• Provide general support to the Studio with RFPs and contracts for design consultants.
• Contribute to special projects across the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Exceptional design aesthetic executed on a range of commercial projects, including architecture, interior architecture and/or interior design, wayfinding and signage, lighting design, and FF&E selection for mixed use developments
• Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture or similar
• 7-9 years of previous experience required
• Experience in retail and hospitality preferred, but not required
• Demonstrated success working across disciplines with architects, engineers, interior designers, lighting designers, landscape designers and signage vendors
• Strong team player and collaborator with the ability to balance teamwork and independent project assignments
• Excellent time management
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling
• Work Samples and/or portfolio are required as part of application.
