About the Position

Seeking a dedicated, professional and reliable individual to become an integral member of Trinity Investment’s team. The Investment Associate role will be primarily focused on supporting Trinity’s acquisition efforts including deal underwriting, due diligence and closing of new prospective investments, and secondarily on asset managing existing portfolio assets. Responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Creating and managing financial underwriting models and investment memoranda for prospective investments
  • Assisting with deal structuring and communicating with investors and lenders
  • Conducting market research to support analyses
  • Transaction execution including due diligence and deal closing
  • Preparing marketing decks and pitchbooks
  • Asset management support of Trinity’s existing assets including updating cash flow models and preparing asset management reports for investors.
  • Generally supporting senior executives of the company on an as-needed basis

The position will be based in Honolulu, Hawaii and will report directly to the firm’s mid-level and senior management. Travel (inter-island, mainland US, and international) will constitute 10% to 20% of the time.


Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher, with at least 1-4 years experience in real estate finance, investment banking, private equity or other related fields. The position will require a high-degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including complex financial modeling through Excel and the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations using PowerPoint. The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. In addition, the ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Japanese and/or Spanish language skills are not required but would be of value to the company.

 

Compensation & Other

The position will earn a salary and be eligible for a bonus commensurate with experience and the position. The full compensation package includes competitive benefits including full health insurance and 401(k) plan with company match.
