Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The primary focus for the Director of Marketing and Business Development is to help increase and consistently grow Broadway Construction Group’s footprint in the New York Metro area. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, prepare, and implement strategies and plans for business development, marketing, public relations and sales
  • Research and build relationships with new clients, identifying decision makers in the business, with a focus on developers, owners, and other potential clients that are active in the New York Metro area to generate new business opportunities
  • Source and secure new project and construction management opportunities
  • Bring in knowledge of client and competitor’s work and potential business through competitor analysis
  • Ability to leverage existing and past clients to source new business for BCG
  • Pitch business with new and existing clients, often in collaboration with our other business lines ensuring maximum exposure of BCG’s capabilities
  • Represent BCG at industry /public forums as a senior representative of the firm
  • Continuously evaluate target market sectors in order to stay up to date on trends and be informed of opportunities prior to becoming public knowledge
  • Demonstrate high energy for the business and ability to energize others
  • Mentor team members
  • Educate the industry on the unique combination of services we offer
  • Work with internal marketing manager to create sales and marketing materials as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management or engineering; MBA or other relevant Advanced Degree a plus 
    • Minimum of 10 years of Business Development and sales experience in the construction industry
    • Proven knowledge of and relationships with construction/development industry of New York Metro area
    • A strong understanding of the construction business
    • Expert skills in proposal strategy, client needs and value propositions
    • Must be relentless on a daily basis looking for new clients and new projects
    • Excellent leadership, managerial and mentoring skills
    • Must be self-motivated and willing to work independently
