We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Regional Head of Portfolio Management, Strategy and Optimisation, Asia Pacific.
Principal responsibilities
- Ensure alignment between workplace and portfolio related strategies, using workplace strategies to unlock portfolio opportunities and improve end user experience
- Develop office and retail transformation related activity, with support from key strategic Global Portfolio Manager (GPM) and Regional Transaction Partner (RTP) relationships.
- Act as key regional interface between Portfolio/transaction teams and the Capital Projects/Facilities Management teams to ensure appropriate due diligence is carried out on new sites or developments to minimize risk to the bank
- Integrate PWE related activities fully with other Corporate Real Estate (CRE) functions and related workstreams by ensuring appropriate formal and informal channels for communication and feedback loop for successful end-to-end project delivery
- Act as central lead in driving real-time accuracy completeness for portfolio related data points held on GPM system and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented in updating of information across regions. Connect with Operational Intelligence function to ensure that the data set supports key metrics and overall CRE position
- Act as key relationship interface to key external strategic partners for Global Portfolio Management ( GPM) and Regional Transaction Partners ( RTP)
- Provide professional in-house CRE related consultancy services for ongoing and ad-hoc projects
Requirements
- Professional qualification in a Project Management Portfolio and Estates Management discipline or a relevant equivalent
- Deep expertise and understanding of a broad range of Real Estate Supplier activities and issues faced by large corporates
- Sound understanding of how banks operate and the key challenges faced in the operative environment
- Strong expertise and knowledge in relation to Supplier Management and /or technical expertise in a real estate context
- Significant experience in managing CRE activities at country and regional levels and demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects of timely and quality results in different geographies
- Demonstrated results in delivering successful risk management and control processes
- Sound working knowledge of Real Estate technology platforms for planning, analysis and decision making.
- Experience in transformation and deployment of outsourcing and technology
- Demonstrated results in managing Suppliers and Supplier/stakeholder issues
- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and handle ambiguity
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills
- Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
- Strong commerciality on supplier relationship management and expertise to balance costs, meet customer demands and CRE's requirements to a high standard
- Ability to engage and influence senior executives of the Bank at global, regional and country level
- Role model and advocate for HSBC acting at all times in a way that complies with the Banks code of conduct, ethics and stance on bribery
- Ability to grasp, understand and independently handle new projects and ideas
