Overview
Senné is seeking a Senior Project Manager, to be based at the Company's Headquarters in Cambridge, MA. The Senior Project Manager at Senné will be responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary project resources and documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes the maintenance of budget and schedule, and the management and administration of all contractual requirements, agreements with trade partners, purchase orders, meeting minutes and shop drawing logs. This individual will also manage risk, insurances, general work performance and quality, and overall team progress against the project plan through consistent communication and collaboration with the owner and project team members. The Senior Project Manager must be an effective leader and communicator able to manage, cultivate and mentor team members to promote their professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Work with Senne’s acquisition and development teams to prepare initial site layouts, zoning analyses, project budgets and timelines
- Understand all aspects of the due diligence process, including but not limited to zoning and permitting analyses, as well as environmental and land surveys
- Work with Senne’s architects, as well as municipal and neighborhood leaders, in guiding each project through its approvals process
- Work alongside Senne’s architects in engineering a project within the parameters of local zoning and building code
- Manage the bidding process with approved general contractors and prepare final GC contracts
- Monitor and report weekly on each project’s construction activities, which shall focus on the general contractors’ adherence to the approved drawings, the project’s schedule and the project’s budget
- Review contracts, bills, draws and other documents to ensure accuracy, and interface with accounting team for review and booking
- Track and maintain records of capital expenditures and capital project contracts, using Excel and other project management software
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university with preference for emphasis in a field relevant to the position
- 7-10 years of experience in development, construction, architecture or civil engineering
- Strong understanding of local zoning and building codes, particularly in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Knowledge of construction standards, work methods, materials and operating practices
- Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, TSheets, and other relevant software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
