Job Description
Position:
The firm is seeking an Associate with 2+ years of experience to support its acquisition and asset management functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in investment underwriting, due diligence, financing, and is highly proficient in Excel and Argus. The Associate will report to the Senior Vice President with significant exposure to the Principals and contribute to all aspects of the business.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Source, underwrite, diligence, and support the closing of commercial real estate investments
- Coordinate underwriting and due diligence process including financial modeling, Argus validation, market research, accounting reviews, lease abstracting, and coordinating third-party reports
- Asset management functions include financial planning and analysis, business plan, budget preparation, leasing analysis and support, loan reporting and coordination, public agency reporting, market research, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee and various capital partners
- Support capital and joint venture formation
- Assist in operations and ad-hoc initiatives
- Occasional travel for property visits and market tours
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of commercial real estate investment experience, preferably with direct experience in acquisitions and/or asset management. Office experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably with a concentration in real estate, finance, mathematics, construction/development, business, or similar degree from a top tier institution
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; advanced proficiency in Argus, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with a variety of real estate asset types, office experience is required
- Sophisticated financial skills and capital markets perspective
- Excellence in critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills
Base salary range: $100,000 to $135,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
