Confidential, Fast-growing multifamily development and investment company with multiple offices throughout the Southeast is seeking a Development Manager to work alongside/below our Senior Development Partner (30+ years of experience).

Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Development Manager to help drive the successful development of multifamily projects from initial due diligence through design, lease-up, and sale. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Role Responsibilities
Track project schedules and budgets through all phases of development, ensuring timely progress and fiscal accountability.
Negotiate and manage low voltage and internet contracts and vendors, maintaining favorable terms and strong vendor relationships.
Review and negotiate vendor proposals to secure optimal service offerings and cost efficiency.
Assist in and drive the design management process, collaborating with architects, engineers, and design teams to ensure design quality and coherence.
Assist in and drive lease up activities, ensuring timely occupancy and revenue generation.
Coordinate with and work with the construction team from planning through CO.
Develop and analyze proformas for each project, underwriting potential sites by assessing anticipated rents, operating expenses, and performing thorough physical land due diligence.
Prepare detailed project reports, financial models, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Manage the job-cost process, and review month-end financials.
Assist in creating finance offerings, th closing process, and tracking requirements of equity partners and lenders.
Maintain clear and effective communication among all internal teams and external partners.
Role Qualifications
3+ years of experience in multifamily development management or a similar role.
Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work.
Must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced industry and run multiple jobs that are in different phases of construction.
Demonstrated experience tracking schedules and budgets across multiple projects.
Strong negotiation skills with proven success in managing low voltage, internet contracts, and vendor proposals.
Background in design management and lease-up procedures.
Experience coordinating construction projects (with specialized construction teams handling heavy lifting).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Design, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but NOT required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong project management abilities.
