Job Description
We are seeking a Loan Manager to manage a portfolio of complex debt investments collateralized by commercial real estate operating properties. Said properties include transitional / value-add assets spanning a variety of U.S. markets and a multitude of property types including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, condos, student-housing and hospitality. This role includes interfacing with borrowers, originators, third party service providers and coworkers overseas so the candidate must possess the awareness and the ability to interact with others in a professional manner and with a sense of urgency. It involves real-time assessment of risk profiles of real estate loan investments, writing credit votes and reviews, overseeing of loan-draw administration workflow, and ensuring proper reporting.

Below is a brief job description of the position:
Principal Tasks
• Review and process credit applications and ad hoc credit requests
• Ensure timely closing of new loans/restructurings with involvement in client negotiations
• Perform periodic review of allocated loan portfolio including review of Borrower covenants and extension requirements
• Actively manage classified loans in collaboration with origination and workout
• Annually review loan collateral in terms of valuation
• Analyze lease and/or loan amendment approval requests
• Review and approve monthly draws and/or future-funding requests
• Furnish documentation for various internal compliance and audit procedures
• Maintain credit files to ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
• Minimum five years of Credit/Portfolio Management experience in the Commercial Real Estate field
• Strong understanding and knowledge of financial statements.
• Demonstrated ability to write concise financial analyses and credit memoranda.
• Excellent Excel skills, especially with underwriting models. ARGUS know-how a plus.
• Attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
