Overview
Corten is recruiting an Associate to support fundraising efforts, manage investor relationships, manage the assembly and distribution of investor notices and reports, prepare materials for investor events and contribute to the firm's overall capital formation strategy.  Other special projects required for strategic or marketing purposes will also be part of the responsibilities assigned to this professional on an as needed basis.  The Associate serves a critical role in our entrepreneurial and fast-growing real estate investment company, working closely with various members of the team and also directly with senior management.  
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Investor Relationship Management 
    • Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential investors (Institutional and HNWs).  
    • Managing investor communications and inquiries. 
    • Supporting investor meetings and roadshows. 
  • Fundraising Support 
    • Assisting with fundraising activities, including preparing materials and presentations. 
    • Managing project timelines and deliverables.
    • Tracking and reporting on fundraising progress and investor commitments.
  • Research and Analysis
    • Updating industry performance databases. 
    • Conducting industry research and analysis, including peer monitoring and targeting analyses.
    • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities.
  • Compliance and Due Diligence
    • Supporting the closing process, including ensuring appropriate documentation is provided by LPs.
    • Maintaining awareness of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Content Creation and Management
    • Drafting and reviewing investor-related materials, such as press releases, earnings call scripts, and presentations. 
    • Updating the website and other communication channels. 
    • Preparing materials for investor conferences and events. 
Qualifications
An understanding of private real estate or private equity investment terminology and  financial structures
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a highly professional manner when dealing with colleagues and third parties
·         Must possess Microsoft Office skills and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
·         Experience managing CRM databases and investor portals like Dynamo, Investment Café or Juniper Square.
  • Must be a highly organized self-starter that functions well in a team of multi-taskers.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel; this is an in-office position.
Education & Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant investor relations (with private funds), real estate investment or real estate marketing experience required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required - business, finance, economics or real estate emphasis preferred.
