Job Description
Key Responsibilities/Job Functions:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business growth strategy aligned with the company goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
- Initiate, build and maintain long-term client relationships with Architects, Engineers, and Developers, understanding their needs and aligning our services accordingly.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, ensuring revenue targets are met.
- Generate a strong sales pipeline, identifying and engaging key decision-makers.
- Oversee the creation of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business and bid opportunities.
- Manage budgets and financial targets related to business development initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, client meetings and networking opportunities to build brand recognition and establish new relationships.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and revenue generation to leadership.
- Initiate in-person activities with key clients (dinners, lunches) to build relationships and gain industry news and information.
- Ability to travel as needed for trade shows, industry conferences, bid pitches and client meetings.
Preferred Attributes:
- Established network within the commercial construction, general contracting or property development industries.
- Experience in sales for commercial real estate or a construction related field.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for innovation and growth.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- 3 or more years’ experience in business development, sales, or related field, preferably in the construction, general contracting or property development industries.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong networking abilities and a broad industry network.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans.
- Adept at working independently and remotely.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, sales tools, and analytics software.
