We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Equity Investments team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in an investment bank, institutional real estate fund, investment sales firm, or an institutionally backed sponsor.
 
The Senior Analyst will support the Equity Investments group, which focuses on opportunistic equity investments through GP development, equity fund management platforms, and fee development. The firm is also exploring new business lines within the Equity Investments platform.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Conduct Market Research: Analyze real estate market trends, demographics, and competitive landscapes to identify investment opportunities and risks as well as identifying trends to better asset manage the current portfolio. 
  • Conduct Feasibility Analysis & Due Diligence: Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, including site selection, zoning analysis, engaging and managing third party consultants, and other due diligence and closing activities. 
  • Perform Financial Analyses: Prepare budgets, projections and financial models to assess potential investments. 
  • Support Asset Management: Track the performance of existing investments and provide regular updates to management regarding leasing performance, financial performance, market conditions, and capital market strategies.
  • Prepare Investor Relations Communications: Help prepare comprehensive investor reports on a quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis, which include project/asset summaries, market trends, investment performance, financial projects, and key status updates.
  • Create Investment Presentations: Produce deal evaluations for internal review and participate with senior leadership in meetings to consider potential investment opportunities. Produce marketing materials and presentations to prospective institutional investors and lenders.
  • Work on Special Projects: Work on other special projects as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or accounting is preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an investment bank, institutional real estate fund, investment sales firm or an institutionally backed sponsor.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling for real estate analysis using Excel, including advanced functions and joint venture waterfalls. Argus proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Solid understanding of financial statements, comparative data, and financial forecasting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to challenge assumptions, a commitment to ongoing learning, and a strong interest in the built environment.
