Opportunity and Position Summary:
Stockbridge is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior National Accounts Manager to join our Private Wealth team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key relationships with wirehouse firms and banks on a national level. The Senior National Accounts Manager will be tasked with developing strategic partnerships, driving sales growth, and providing exceptional service to wirehouse and bank clients across multiple regions. This position requires a deep understanding of the wirehouse and banking market, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a national strategy to build, maintain, and expand relationships with key wirehouse accounts and banks to drive revenue and market share growth.
  • Lead the sales process for wirehouse firms and banks, working to increase the adoption of our products and services, while identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with wirehouse and bank clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering trust to become a valued business partner.
  • Work closely with the product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients, align on product offerings, and drive successful business initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and changes in the wirehouse and bank landscape, providing valuable insights and feedback to senior leadership. Monitor performance and provide regular reports on key metrics, account growth, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead negotiations for product pricing, terms, and contracts with wirehouse and bank clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and profit margins.
  • Provide guidance and support to wirehouse and bank clients on Stockbridge product features, benefits, and usage, as well as deliver ongoing training to ensure maximum product utilization.
  • Partner with the marketing and product development teams to create tailored campaigns, initiatives, and resources that meet the specific needs of wirehouse and bank clients.

Skills and Competencies:
  • All candidates must have a BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in business, marketing, finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, with a proven track record of success in the wirehouse and bank or financial services industry.
  • Experience managing national or large enterprise accounts, ideally within the wealth management or investment sectors.
  • Strong understanding of wirehouse and bank firms and their needs, including regulatory requirements and sales processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with senior-level decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to drive sales and resolve challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce, etc.).
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Experience working with wirehouse firms such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS, etc.
  • Familiarity with Alternative Investment financial products and services offered by wirehouse and bank firms.
  • Existing relationships within the wirehouse and bank industry.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, preferably Salesforce.
 
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience. Stockbridge’s base pay scale depends on geographic location, business line, years of experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. A discretionary annual bonus is also included in addition to base pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and STD & LTD insurance. Stockbridge provides a 401K plan with a match as well as generous vacation, sick time and holiday time off.
