Job Description

We are in search of a dynamic individual to take on the role and responsibilities of Quality Assurance Manager. The responsibilities of this position include scheduling and carrying out quality control inspections to the standard outlined in the project specifications while maximizing the production schedule of the General Contractor.
 
The ideal candidate will be able to understand the scope and details of the following inspection types:
  • Concrete – vapor barrier, forms and reinforcement. Monitor testing and pouring of concrete for footings, foundations and flatwork.
  • Framing - verify components, layout, assembly and execution of the framing phase. Identify and document any fixes to structural elements, obtaining an engineer’s certification.
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems – verify components, layout and execution of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Cable and Phone systems.
  • Understand quality and able to execute finish punch for completion of work and turnover to client.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of multi-family/commercial construction management experience required.
  • Four-year degree in construction management; architecture; or engineering a plus.     
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and standard construction practices is also required.
  • Expertise in specific areas of construction or property maintenance is desired. Ability to scale measurements from blueprints and verify field measurements with a tape measure is also preferred.
  • Construction related certifications including, but not limited to erosion and sediment control certification, OSHA training, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications preferred.
  • Microsoft office (email, Microsoft word etc.) experience is required. In addition, trade related software program and experience working with spreadsheets is also required for this role.
