Position Overview:
This is a leadership opportunity within the firm – directing the execution of institutional quality multifamily and mixed-use ground-up developments across central Florida.
Required Responsibilities:
• Oversees all development functions for the specific region including entitlements, design, approvals.
•Assemble the appropriate teams throughout the progress of the project – including internal and external teams/stakeholders.
•Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mentorship and training.
• Helps to identify and analyze potential land development opportunities.
• Cultivates relationships with landowners, brokers, and municipalities.
• Monitor development and construction processes to ensure projects are completed as scheduled.
• Conducts site investigations, financial feasibility, project budgeting, and meetings.
• Works in tandem with the internal capital markets team in underwriting and financing deals.
• Manages division cash requirements and expenditures, project budgets, and schedules.
• Performs project oversight function by working with Asset Management to maximize property value and position for sale of property.
• Interviews, hires, trains and supervises team in assigned region.
• Complies with all company national standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required for this position and a graduate degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in managing junior development staff and 10 years of real estate experience, with at least 5 years in the multi-family space is required.
