Job Description
- Maintain the general ledger by recording, verifying, and consolidating financial transactions.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and subsidiary accounts with precision.
- Analyze financial data and generate insightful reports for management.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process to guide strategic planning.
- Participate actively in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Submit construction loan draws to banks on a monthly basis.
- Prepare detailed bi-weekly cash reports.
- Assist with development and Construction in Progress (CIP) accounting.
- Manage company credit cards effectively.
- Prepare quarterly investor distributions with accuracy.
- Oversee and review annual tax return filings.
- Ensure the accuracy of accounting data provided by third-party property managers.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within a private real estate company (required).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred; support for obtaining CPA certification available.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in real estate accounting software is required; experience with QBO, Reach Reporting, and bill.com is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong excel skills;
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Hybrid office schedule, min of 3 days in office required. Must live max 60 min away from office. Berwyn, PA 19312
