Job Description
- Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of multifamily assets in New York City, ensuring optimal operational and financial performance.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize value creation, including rent optimization, cost reduction, and capital improvements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on acquisitions, dispositions, and financing strategies, including underwriting and market analysis.
- Lead and mentor a team of asset managers and analysts, providing guidance and professional development.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party property managers, contractors, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular financial reviews, ensuring the timely preparation of reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement value-enhancing initiatives, including renovation and repositioning strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new investment opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in asset management, real estate investment, or related fields, with a strong background in multifamily real estate.
- Proven experience managing large, complex portfolios in the New York City market.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- In-depth knowledge of the multifamily real estate market, including regulatory requirements and best practices in property management.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Yardi, or other asset management software preferred.
