As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Asset Management to lead and optimize our portfolio of multifamily assets.

Position Overview:
The Head of Asset Management will be a key executive responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of our growing portfolio of multifamily assets. This individual will provide strategic leadership in the management of existing properties, while driving long-term value creation through a combination of strategic acquisitions, dispositions, and operational improvements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive real estate experience, particularly in asset management, and have a strong understanding of the New York City multifamily market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of multifamily assets in New York City, ensuring optimal operational and financial performance.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize value creation, including rent optimization, cost reduction, and capital improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on acquisitions, dispositions, and financing strategies, including underwriting and market analysis.
  • Lead and mentor a team of asset managers and analysts, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party property managers, contractors, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews, ensuring the timely preparation of reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement value-enhancing initiatives, including renovation and repositioning strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new investment opportunities and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in asset management, real estate investment, or related fields, with a strong background in multifamily real estate.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex portfolios in the New York City market.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the multifamily real estate market, including regulatory requirements and best practices in property management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Yardi, or other asset management software preferred.
