Our SelectLeaders client is a family-owned and led company established in the 1970s with its roots in the retail gasoline industry. The company has since expanded into commercial and residential real estate, development, clean energy, and marketable securities. The real estate portfolio spans approximately 1.5 million square feet across multifamily, self-storage, industrial, retail, FBOs, and office assets.

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong computer skills to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager/Administrative Assistant! The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses strong administrative and computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and an eagerness to learn.
Appfolio experience is a plus! This opportunity will provide hands-on experience and exposure to multiple facets of our company, allowing for growth and professional development.

Role is in-person 4 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the real estate team and accounting team, including managing calendars, taking meeting notes, processing mail, depositing checks, answering phones, and maintaining files both on Microsoft Sharepoint and Appfolio
  • Develop organizational systems to streamline record-keeping, financial transactions, and tenant issue resolution.
  • Support property improvements aimed at maximizing return on investment.
  • Visit properties to ensure tenant satisfaction and property conditions
  • Oversee the processing of work orders and building maintenance and repair requests in collaboration with the maintenance team
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in processing invoices and rent collection
  • Prepare applications, agreements, and reports, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, managing complaints, and coordinating move-ins/move-outs.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with building regulations.
  • Manage and organize office operations, assist with electronic filing, document and file management in Sharepoint, mail and deliveries, and office supplies.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion
Qualifications
  • Administrative: 3 years (Required)
  • Property management: 1 year (Required)
  • Bachelor's (Required)
  • Strong computer skills and Appfolio experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong customer support skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
  • Basic knowledge of real estate processes is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong computer literacy with familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite.
