Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize occupancy, rental income, and tenant mix across residential, multi-unit, and commercial properties.
- Lead negotiations for new leases, renewals, and restructurings, ensuring favorable terms that align with asset goals.
- Partner with leasing brokers and marketing teams to attract high-quality tenants and enhance property visibility.
- Foster strong tenant relationships, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of tenant retention.
- Analyze property performance metrics, market trends, and leasing activity to inform decision-making and portfolio strategy.
- Identify underperforming assets and recommend strategies for redevelopment, repositioning, or disposition.
- Partner with property management teams to ensure effective operations, proactive maintenance, and capital improvement planning.
- Serve as a key advisor on market trends, zoning regulations, and economic factors influencing real estate performance in California.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in asset management, leasing, or property operations, with a strong track record in residential, multi-unit, and commercial real estate.
- Extensive knowledge of the San Diego real estate market, as well as broader California market dynamics.
- Strong background in lease negotiations, tenant relations, and property financial analysis.
- Proven ability to optimize asset performance through leasing strategies and operational improvements.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Willing to travel (local)
