Job Description
Summary:
- Accurately prepare financial analyses for potential acquisition and development projects, including various investment and return scenarios.
- Create business models for review by acquisitions team including risk assessments, pro forma models, and operational forecasts.
- Collaborate with consultants, brokers, development, and asset management teams to determine underwriting key assumptions.
- Based on qualitative research and collaboration with asset management and development, to create budgets to verify assumptions and recommendations to provide data in support of acquisition decisions.
- Understand and assess different sources of data to ascertain challenges to determine strategic outcome of investment.
- Identify key risks for potential acquisition investments to be used in preliminary site identification.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify competitive market trends and incorporate input from external sources to project assumptions not limited to market studies, rental comps, and other key factors.
- Prepare investment deal summary reports for the Investment Committee and appropriate presentations, as needed.
- Develop and maintain investment presentations and marketing collateral materials for internal and external audiences.
- Prepare materials for weekly team meetings, investment pipeline reports, lead outreach report, due diligence checklists and agendas.
- Develop best practices to standardize reports and manage workflow.
- Other duties, as assigned.

Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in multifamily acquisitions and finance.
- College degree or equivalent experience, preferred business or finance focus.
- Strong technical and data manipulation skills beyond MS Office, specifically Excel experience and additional real estate applications a plus.
- Strong visual presentation skills in PowerPoint, or other software.
- Demonstrated ability to identify critical information with an ability to quickly research and collect pertinent information, integrate essential information, and use information to define and test options and alternatives.
- Previous experience modeling investment opportunities and justification for the most productive course of action.
- Excellent analytical reasoning to identify and resolve issues.
- Insightful and creative skills in reasoning and logic and quantitative analysis. Utilize problem-solving skills to analyze investments on a risk-adjusted basis.
