Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute a robust financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team on performance, risks, and opportunities, particularly in real estate acquisitions and development.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making and resource allocation.
Financial Operations & Optimization
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and audit, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.
- Lead financial system migrations and process integrations.
- Optimize capital structure, managing debt, equity, and working capital to support business objectives.
- Implement scalable processes and automation to drive operational efficiency.
- Develop strategies for personal and estate tax planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory laws.
- Oversee insurance programs and IT infrastructure to align with financial strategies.
Real Estate & Investment Management
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies specific to real estate.
- Ensure internal controls for real estate transactions are in place.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted income/expenses for real estate investments.
- Collaborate with Real Estate and Accounting teams to optimize financial reporting.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead due diligence efforts for new acquisitions and investments.
- Maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Attract, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance, accounting, and tax team.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and COO to drive informed decision-making.
- Oversee Legal, Aviation, and IT teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- 15+ years of experience in senior finance or operational leadership roles (CFO, VP of Finance), ideally within real estate investment or capital markets.
- CPA required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Deep knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to forecast with precision and ensure seamless financial integration and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Experience with capital market transactions preferred.
- Strong ability to prioritize, manage change, and drive organizational success.
