We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Business Analyst to join our team and support our growth initiatives in revenue management and acquisitions underwriting.
Job Summary
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across revenue management and acquisitions underwriting. This position will involve analyzing market trends, evaluating business performance, and supporting strategic initiatives to optimize revenue in addition to underwriting potential acquisition opportunities. Proficiency in Power BI and other data analysis tools is critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management:
• Analyze pricing strategies and revenue trends to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards in Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Perform competitive market analyses to inform pricing adjustments and promotions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas of improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
• Provide insights and forecasts to support strategic pricing decisions.
Acquisitions Underwriting:
• Evaluate potential acquisition targets by conducting financial analysis, market research, and due diligence.
• Build and analyze financial models to assess the viability and profitability of acquisition opportunities.
• Prepare investment memorandums and present findings to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess operational and strategic fit of potential acquisitions.
• Monitor industry trends and identify growth opportunities in new and existing markets.
General Duties:
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights.
• Present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance analytical efficiency.
• Support other business units with ad hoc data analysis and reporting needs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in revenue management or acquisitions underwriting.
• Experience in the self-storage, real estate, or related industry is a plus.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Power BI, including creating and maintaining dashboards and visualizations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team.
