Job Description
Brookline Investment Group buys and operates multi-family properties in target markets across the United States. Since its founding in mid-2013, Brookline has acquired approximately 5,000 apartment units and is targeting core, value-add and opportunistic acquisitions of multi-family properties.
Markets Include: Florida, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah and Portland.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare market analysis reports, including comparable rents and sales, vacancy, and absorption/supply.
- Underwrite potential multifamily acquisitions through financial modeling in Excel.
- Organize and present data analysis, draw objective conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Perform detailed rent roll analysis, maintain and track lease rollovers and items requiring follow-up. Utilize company procedures and tracking methods to meet internal audit requirements.
- Aggregate and update property-level data on a weekly basis for asset management purposes.
- Analyze historical property operating statements, budgets, leases, loan agreements and expenses.
- Compile and analyze monthly property operating statements for Brookline Investment Group portfolio for internal review.
- Prepare and track annual budgets, business/leasing assumptions and quarterly reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES:
- Major in Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Accounting
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including sorting/working with data, and querying data sources
- Knowledge of real estate financial modeling
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
