COMPANY OVERVIEW
 
The company is a privately owned real estate investment, development and management company located in Atlanta, Georgia.  The company owns a diversified real estate portfolio that includes Class A office, retail and hospitality properties in Atlanta as well as land, environmental mitigation banks, commercial properties and residential developments in other Georgia markets.  The portfolio is owned through multiple entities, including single purpose companies, holding companies and joint ventures.
 
ROLE OVERVIEW
 
The company is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting and other accounting functions for multiple real estate, holding and operating companies as well as for trusts and investors.  The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·         Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Statements of Equity and Statements of Cash Flow.
·         Review and approve monthly financial statements prepared by third party property managers.
·         Deliver financial reports to investors and lenders in accordance with Operating Agreements and Loan Agreements.
·         Prepare financial statements on a tax-basis and engage with third-party tax advisors to complete annual tax returns and analyze strategic tax matters.
·         Prepare journal entries for complex real estate transactions, including purchases, sales and other capital events.  
·         Prepare account reconciliations and monitor accuracy of general ledgers.
·         Consolidate financial reporting for multiple companies and calculate cost allocations for shared costs.
·         Review and prepare draw requests for development projects and submit to investors and lenders to obtain funding for project costs.
·         Analyze cash positions and prepare cash flow forecasts.
·         Review and approve loan statements and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
·         Assist with preparation of annual budgets, completion of CAM reconciliations and calculations of CAM rates.
