Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our family office industrial real estate company. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial operations and reporting for a diverse portfolio of industrial properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Proficiency in Yardi property management software is required to manage day-to-day accounting tasks and support strategic decision-making. This role offers a path for growth and the opportunity to collaborate with a subsidiary focused on renewable energies.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Financial Management: Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions across multiple assets.
·         Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analyses, consolidating data across properties and business units.
·         Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely collection and payments.
·         Portfolio Accounting: Manage and track budgets, capital expenditures, and operating expenses across a diverse portfolio of industrial properties.
·         Reconcile tenant leases, rent rolls, and escalations in compliance with lease agreements.
·         Conduct periodic reviews of the financial performance of individual properties and the portfolio.
·          Audit and Compliance.
·         Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits. 
·         Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
·         Maintain accurate records for tax filings, including property tax and depreciation schedules.
·         System Proficiency: Utilize Yardi software for property accounting, financial reporting, and portfolio-wide data analysis.
·         Ensure system optimization and accuracy, providing training and support for other team members as needed.
·         Team Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, leasing teams, and asset management to provide financial insights. 
·         Collaborate with the renewable energies subsidiary to align financial operations and reporting.
·         Mentor junior accounting staff and assist in developing streamlined workflows.

Qualifications:
·         Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA helpful but not required.
·         Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
·         Strong working knowledge of Yardi Voyager and real estate accounting practices.
·         Experience managing financial operations for multiple assets is required.
·         Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·         Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
