Firm Overview:  Trevian Capital is a middle market real estate debt platform that invests in bridge loans from $2 million to $200+ million collateralized by commercial and multifamily properties nationwide. Trevian has a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and is growing exponentially.  

Position:  Trevian is seeking an originations analyst or associate to join its growing New York-based team.  The analyst or associate will support the originations, deal screening, and underwriting processes.  This position will interact with the Principals of the firm on a daily basis.  The position will primarily focus on helping senior originators review, underwrite, qualify, and negotiate the 150+ in-bound deals we source on a weekly basis.

Location: New York, NY (In person) 

Key Responsibilities: 

-          Support senior originators with in-bound deal screening, which will entail reviewing and qualifying loan requests from mortgage brokers, communicating with brokers to confirm receipt and review, determining which deals to pass on and which to pursue, aggregating diligence materials, and presenting deal summaries to senior originators and Principals. 
-          Support senior originators with performing preliminary due diligence on deals we choose to pursue, which will entail underwriting cash flows, identifying and analyzing rent and sales comparables, calling local/regional investment sales brokers to obtain market intel about a property and its submarket, and presenting to senior originators and Principals. 
-          Produce marketing materials for LinkedIn and email marketing campaigns. 
-          Participate in weekly team meetings with exposure to all facets of the company. 
-          Proactively originate their own deals by creating and fostering mortgage broker and banking relationships throughout the country. 

Required Experience:

-          1 - 5 years of commercial real estate experience.  Will consider full-time M.S. in Real Estate and Finance candidates as well. 
-          Strong academic background with a degree in business, finance, economics, or real estate.  
-          Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. 
-          Excellent written and oral communications skills. 
-          Attention to detail and highly organized. 
-          Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
-          Self-motivated and eager to work in an entrepreneurial environment. 
-          Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Salary:
-          
We will consider qualified candidates and the salary can range from $75,000 - $125,000 plus bonus depending on qualifications.
