SUMMARY

  • The Senior Analyst supports the Asset Managers with overall portfolio management by providing market research, cashflow modeling and data analysis regarding current and potential real estate holdings. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analysis. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks in a high paced environment. Travel may be required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Asset Managers to prepare cash flow models and business plans.
  • Underwrite new acquisition loans, performing and non-performing loans, and re-underwriting of existing loans.
  • Perform analysis of property operations including review of budgets and operating statements.
  • Conduct market research including but not limited to sales, leasing transactions, and activity affecting local real estate.
  • Assist on foreclosure activities in terms of negotiation, coordinating third party reports, cash flow management and closing of transactions.
  • Assist in disposition of assets.
  • Perform site inspections which will require some travel.
  • Understand the life-cycle of the CMBS process, nuances and restrictions as they relate to the REMIC and CMBS REO
  • Ability to underwrite and perform due diligence on all types of real estate product to assist in acquisition efforts of B-pieces and re-underwriting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Compliance team to track non-recoverability and interaction with Master Servicer as needed.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior commercial real estate experience. CMBS experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel & Word. Argus and or Val experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and possess strong ability to independently problem solve.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
