About the Role: The Accounting Manager will oversee and streamline our daily financial operations, ensuring precision in all financial transactions and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This role is crucial for driving efficiency in accounting practices, supporting cash management activities, and managing a team of accountants to ensure financial data integrity.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare bank reconciliations across multiple systems, including Yardi and QuickBooks.
  • Post and process daily journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are accurately recorded, including reconciliation of prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets.
  • Support all treasury cash management activities.
  • Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial data as assigned.
  • Update financial databases, ensuring information is current and accurate.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with investor reporting standards for all monthly and annual closing statements.
  • Compile and deliver financial and operational reports required for investor communications.
  • Gather financial information for annual tax return preparations for both the company and investors.
  • Train and supervise CHP Accountants and Accounting Associates, fostering growth and ensuring best practices.
  • Support additional accounting projects as assigned by the Director, CFO, or other Leadership Team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with Yardi and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
