Job Description
- Work with senior management, development partners, consultants, and financing sources to structure real estate transactions and terms that meet Affinius Capital’s risk and return criteria.
- Generate efficient capital management, including debt and equity availability, distributions and capital calls, working with partners from portfolio analytics and investor relations.
- Create and oversee insightful fund analysis and forecasting tools, including the various fund models, performance attribution, market and property sector forecasting, risk evaluation and stress testing, working with portfolio analytics, performance reporting, research, portfolio management and other contributors.
- Perform development management duties (e.g. marketing, sourcing, due diligence, planning, permitting, contract administration, budget and schedule development, periodic reporting, project close-out) of assigned projects.
- Maintain and extend strong and positive relationships with development partners, brokers, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Negotiate and coordinate the financing documentation process with legal, senior management and other Affinius Capital parties as required for development projects.
- Assist in marketing activities associated with new investors including research, prospecting, analysis and underwriting.
- Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field. Master’s degree or CFA designation a plus.
- 10+ years of work experience in institutional private equity real estate investing and/or accounting.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Argus.
- Project management and team leadership experience.
- Financial proficiency and understanding of accounting procedure and controls.
- Familiarity with real estate property, contract, and regulatory law.
- Strong communication and problem solving/decision making capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation skills with ability to obtain favorable terms for the company while enhancing key relationships.
- Analytical thinker, complex financial acumen and attention to detail with focus on the real issues.
- Intuitive, creative, market-savvy. Demonstrable capacity to recognize market trends to develop appropriate strategic plans and execute those plans to conclusion.
- Demonstrated track record of integrity and honorable dealings with all parties.
- Must be eager to work extended hours, including some travel, as necessary.
- Must be willing to work onsite full-time.
- Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job title.
