Position Overview:

Madison Capital Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President or Managing Director, Debt and Equity Capital Markets to join our team in Miami. This position will play a key role in expanding our capital markets practice by executing capital markets assignments and, to a lesser extent, originations. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry expertise, deal-making acumen, and robust network to deliver innovative financing solutions that align with client goals and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Advisory & Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing expert guidance on capital markets, financing structures, and investment strategies. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with real estate owners, developers, and sponsors, as well as the spectrum of capital providers.
  • Transaction Management: Oversee the end-to-end transaction process, from initial sourcing and underwriting through negotiation and closing. Collaborate closely with legal, underwriting, and due diligence teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Network Development: Continually cultivate and expand relationships with capital providers, including banks, investment funds, foreign investors, pension fund advisors, family offices, securitized lenders, and other institutional investors, to secure the best capital solutions for clients.
  • Capital Structuring: Structure and execute a variety of financing strategies, including senior and mezzanine debt, JV and preferred equity, tailored to meet the needs of owners, sponsors, and institutional investors.
  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Perform detailed financial analyses and risk assessments to evaluate the viability and return potential of transactions. Use advanced financial modeling techniques to assess capital structure options.
  • Deal Origination & Sourcing: Identify, originate, and manage investment sales and financing opportunities for a wide range of commercial real estate asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use properties.
  • Market Research & Strategic Insights: Stay informed on market trends, capital market conditions, and financial products to advise clients on optimal financing solutions and help them navigate market shifts.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth within the Capital Markets group.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; a plus if in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field (MBA or Master’s in Real Estate preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets with a proven track record in sourcing investment sales, debt, and equity financing.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, financing structures, and underwriting of complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong deal origination and negotiation skills, with demonstrated success in closing large-scale transactions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advise clients and present complex financial solutions.
  • High degree of financial acumen, including expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Established network of relationships with capital providers, as well as real estate owners and sponsors.
