Opportunity and Position Summary:
The Asset Management Associate is part of the Core and Value Advisors (“CVA”) business line, which includes both funds and separate accounts with asset strategies ranging from core to value-add to ground-up development. This role will focus on target markets including South Florida, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. This role is both a qualitative and quantitative position where both strong written and analytical skills are necessary. This role provides strong mentorship opportunity.

 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial models for internal property valuations, hold/sell analyses, recapitalizations, lease analyses and waterfalls for joint-venture investments
  • Assist in preparation, review and execution of annual property budgets and business plans
  • Accompany Asset Managers on property visits and market tours
  • Assist Asset Managers in directing leasing attorneys during lease drafting and negotiation
  • Provide oversight and develop strong relationships with third-party property managers, leasing brokers and joint-venture partners
  • Work alongside owner’s construction representatives in the oversight of ground-up construction and redevelopment opportunities
  • Assist in preparation of presentation materials for Investment Committee including disposition and capital approval memos
 
Skills and Competencies:
  • All candidates must have a BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics or related area. Must have strong academic credentials
  • 3-7 years of real estate/finance experience, preferably including one or more of the following: portfolio analysis, commercial real estate valuation, cash flow forecasting, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, debt
  • Proven analytical skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of discounted cash flow analysis required
  • Experience with Argus Enterprise and Excel required
  • Strong writing skills and verbal interpersonal/communication skills
  • Effective communicator, can present and be persuasive
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting and independently
  • Ability to train/mentor Analysts
  • Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, and entrepreneurship
