Our affiliated credit business, Mack Real Estate Credit Strategies, L.P. (MRECS) is focused on transitional commercial real estate lending and other debt investments.

Mack Real Estate Development, LLC (“MRED”), a subsidiary of MREG, is a full-service real estate development business specialized in entitling, designing, and delivering institutional quality commercial real estate projects.
 
Summary
 
                                                                                                                                   
Work alongside experienced loan originations and asset management staff that specialize in structuring complex transactions across all real estate classes throughout North America and Europe.

Responsibilities will include supporting team members on the origination, underwriting, structuring, negotiating, closing and asset management of structured credit transactions, including supporting syndication of real estate debt investments including but not limited to  senior, mezzanine and preferred equity positions efforts of whole loan positions.

Essential Functions 

  • Preparing, reviewing and presenting investment opportunities
  • Analyzing submarket and specific asset-class trends
  • Creating and analyzing financial models to underwrite potential loan originations
  • Developing and negotiating deal structures to mitigate risk
  • Market and site tours as part of underwriting and asset management process
  • Preparing and maintaining weekly pipeline materials
  • Writing internal investment committee memos, and completing all related analysis and scenarios
  • Reviewing and approving draw requests on construction / development loans
  • Monitoring loan compliance, business plan milestones, and asset performance across a portfolio of seasoned loans
  • Cultivating and developing relationships with borrowers, brokers and attorneys to help close and asset manage transactions

 Qualifications 
 
                                                                                                                                
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience
  • Must have a high level of proficiency with financial modeling and real estate valuation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Argus Software
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Extremely detail-oriented and resourceful
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work well under time /other constraints
  • Pride of ownership in end work product
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle short timelines and multiple priorities while working well in a team environment, as well as independently
 
Travel      
                                                                                                                              
Travel as needed to cover markets, meet with clients or otherwise help the firm achieve its business development or investment activities.

Compensation 
 
                                                                                                                                
Mack Real Estate Group considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s level of education, training, qualifications, and experience. This position offers a base salary range of approximately $125,000 to $160,000 depending on the preceding factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and 401K matching, in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
