Eagle Rock Properties (“Eagle Rock”) is a New York-based, vertically-integrated real estate firm
with an institutional and private investor base. As an investor and operator, Eagle Rock is focused
on executing a value-add strategy on suburban multifamily assets located in the Northeast US. Eagle
Rock owns and operates 10,000 units worth $3 billion and is currently in expansion mode, investing
its fourth discretionary fund and soon to be in the market with its fifth fund.

Eagle Rock Advisors is the private equity arm/investment manager of Eagle Rock, responsible for the
acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management and investor relations functions of the
business. Eagle Rock Advisors is headquartered in New York, NY.

The Role
As a Financial Associate, you will play a critical role in analyzing the overall portfolio
performance to identify opportunities to realize investments, mitigate risk and capture value, and
support the administration of the fund series managed by Eagle Rock Properties. You will be
responsible for a range of financial tasks, including performance tracking, capital market
activities, investor report and communication and audit / tax activities. You will collaborate with
lenders, bankers, fund administrators, auditors, and tax counsel to ensure accurate and efficient
financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have robust financial acumen and the ability to interact with both internal
and external stakeholders, communicate progress clearly and want to be part of a growing firm with
an entrepreneurial spirit that is managing institutional capital.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Portfolio Management & Performance Tracking:
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities to optimize the portfolio.
  • Monitor and track the financial performance of the company’s assets and investments.
  • Produce detailed performance reports for internal decision-making and investor reporting.
Capital Market Activities:
  • Work with bankers to secure financing for acquisitions and other investment opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support financing strategies.
  • Assist in negotiating, structuring financing terms and agreements.
Audit & Tax Activities:
  • Assist in preparing fund financial documents for internal and external audits.
  • Review and analyze audit findings and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Review tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies.

You Have…
  • A BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • An MBA and CFA certification are preferred qualifications.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, tax preparation, or a related area.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and modeling, particularly using Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A self-motivated, resourceful team player who works autonomously and seeks support when needed.
