Winter 2024 Investment Internship Description
The Intern will focus on business development support and rotate through various departments throughout their internship, including acquisitions, I.R./marketing, property management, and finance to assist with conducting research, writing reports, inputting/modifying/analyzing/uploading/downloading data, and making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency. The Intern will be encouraged to learn as much as possible about USRA and how USRA's various departments collaborate throughout the acquisitions and asset management processes. The internship will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in real estate, investing, finance, and operations.
- Analyze investment opportunities, business goals, objectives, and needs
- Perform research and analysis in support of business development, acquisitions and ad-hoc tasks across various departments
- Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Help launch new initiatives
- May perform additional projects upon request
Requirements
- Business, Finance, Economics, or related major
- Preference to those candidates who expect to live in NYC or a reasonable/commutable distance to NYC during the internship and upon completion of the internship
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work onsite in New York, NY
