Riller Capital is partnered with a leading global private equity firm to invest in hotel real estate. Since its inception in 2019, Riller Capital has acquired nearly $2 billion of properties across 80+ assets and built a team of six investment professionals, led by Suril Shah. Prior to forming Riller Capital, Suril served as the Head of Hotel Acquisitions at Starwood Capital, where he built and oversaw an $11 billion hotel portfolio, built out asset management capabilities, and served as the President of SH Hotels, a Starwood owned hotel brand management company. Riller Capital is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Acquisitions Associate to join our team and continue growing our fast-paced hospitality platform.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in the sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, and execution of hotel and hospitality related investments.
  • Implement business and capital plans for hotels, optimizing the portfolio’s performance and maximizing value.
  • Support monthly and quarterly performance reporting. Active involvement in annual budgeting process.
  • Analyze market trends and data to develop investment theses and identify opportunities.
  • Execute on investment realizations through marketing process, due diligence, and closing.


Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree required, ideally in Business, Finance, Hospitality or Real Estate.
  • 2-4 years of experience in hotel ownership/advisory, real estate acquisitions, or real estate investment banking. Hotel experience preferred.

  • Superior analytical skills and high level of proficiency in all aspects of financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience in fast paced and analytical environments.
  • A team player who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and has a positive attitude and flexibility to change priorities to meet new deadlines or situations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and thrives working both independently and as a team.
  • Comfortable navigating and analyzing financial projections and quantitative data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining effective professional working relationships.
Location
  • The role will be based at Riller Capital’s headquarters, located in Los Angeles, CA. The opportunity will be fully in-person.
